Career Journey
About Me
I'm an Enterprise Data & AI Enablement leader with 25+ years building and governing the data platforms that large, highly-regulated enterprises run on — across financial services and healthcare.
My career has tracked the evolution of enterprise data itself: from the first enterprise data warehouses, through cloud-scale platforms, to the governance and trust frameworks that make data reliable, and now the AI systems that run on top of it. Along the way I've led 100+ engineer organizations, built petabyte-scale data fabric platforms, integrated and rationalized data ecosystems through complex M&A, and established the metadata-driven architectures, enterprise ontologies, and embedded governance that make trusted, enterprise-scale AI adoption possible — under the scrutiny of regulators including the FRB, FDIC, CFPB, and FHFA.
The conviction that runs through all of it: AI and agents don't replace trusted data foundations — they amplify them. The hardest and most valuable work in the AI era isn't the models; it's the metadata, lineage, quality, and governance that make data trustworthy enough for autonomous systems to act on it safely.
Today I'm focused on agentic data governance — building toward a Data Governance Agent that automates and enriches the stewardship work that has traditionally been manual, slow, and impossible to scale.
